“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. As December comes to a close and we stand on the threshold of a new year, it’s a time for reflection and renewal. For God’s Prepared Warriors, it’s an opportunity to refocus our hearts and minds on our calling, leaving behind the burdens and mistakes of the past while embracing the purpose God has for us in the days ahead.
The journey of faith is not about perfection—it’s about perseverance. The Apostle Paul reminds us that even as seasoned believers, we are continually pressing on, striving toward the goal of Christlikeness. This new year offers a chance to realign our focus, to strengthen our spiritual armor, and to prepare our hearts for whatever battles and blessings lie ahead.
Practically, this might look like revisiting our prayer habits, committing to daily time in God’s Word, or setting goals to serve others more intentionally. Spiritually, it means trusting God’s plan for our future, leaning on His strength, and remaining steadfast in the hope we have through Jesus.
God’s Prepared Warriors are called to be ready—not just for earthly challenges but for eternal victory. As we step into a new year, we do so with the confidence that He who began a good work in us will be faithful to complete it.
Let's Pray
Father God, Thank You for bringing us through this year and for the lessons, challenges, and victories You have allowed us to experience. As we enter the new year, help us to press on with faith, courage, and purpose. Strengthen us as Your Prepared Warriors, equipping us to face every trial and opportunity with Your wisdom and grace. May we forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead, keeping our eyes fixed on You and the hope of heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
As we transition into the new year, let’s embrace the journey ahead with faith, courage, and a steadfast focus on God’s calling for our lives. The best is yet to come for those who walk with Him!
