1 Peter 4:10
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."
As God's Prepared Warriors, we are called not just to be watchful and ready, but also to be active and generous with what God has entrusted to us. Each one of us has been given unique gifts—not for personal gain or to hide away, but to serve others and bring glory to God. In a world growing darker by the day, now more than ever, the body of Christ needs each part working together, using what God has given to build up and strengthen one another.
1 Peter 4:10 reminds us that our gifts are not random; they are divine tools of grace. Whether your gift is encouragement, teaching, prayer, craftsmanship, leadership, or simply showing hospitality—God has placed that gift in you for a purpose. It’s easy to think our talents are small or unimportant, especially when compared to others. But the Kingdom of God does not work like the world. A quiet servant with a kind word can change the course of someone’s life. A well-timed prayer can break a spiritual stronghold. A shared meal can be the open door to salvation.
God's Prepared Warriors are not meant to be lone rangers. We are an army, a community, and a family. Our gifts are meant to strengthen the body and minister to one another in love. This means looking around and asking, “Lord, who can I serve today with what You’ve given me?” It means being faithful in the small things, knowing God multiplies what we offer. We prepare physically by stockpiling, training, and planning. But we also prepare spiritually by using our gifts to encourage the weary, lift up the broken, and build each other’s faith.
Jesus showed us the ultimate example of using His gift for the Father’s glory. Though He was King, He took on the role of a servant—healing, feeding, teaching, and ultimately laying down His life for others. As we follow in His footsteps, we reflect His glory and spread His light. In these uncertain days, your gift could be someone’s answered prayer. Don’t hold it back. Use it fully, boldly, and faithfully—for the glory of the King.
Let's Pray
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gifts You have placed in me. Forgive me for the times I have doubted their worth or failed to use them. Teach me to be faithful with what You’ve given and show me how I can serve others for Your glory. Help me to see the needs around me and respond with courage and love. Just as Jesus came to serve, let me also have a servant's heart. Use my life, Lord, to shine Your light and strengthen Your people. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
